„ It has nothing to do with me. I work with myself, that’s my material somehow, but the finished photograph has more to offer than reflections of my “personality”… My photographs are certainly not self-portraits or representations of myself, though unfortunately people always keep saying they are.“

„Das hat nichts mit mir zu tun. Ich arbeite mit mir selbst, das ist irgendwie mein Material, aber das fertige Foto hat mehr zu bieten als Spiegelungen meiner „Persönlichkeit“… Meine Fotografien sind sicherlich keine Selbstporträts oder Darstellungen meiner selbst, auch wenn die Leute leider immer wieder behaupten, sie seien es.“
